“Hiring Sarah was the best decision we made while wedding planning. We clicked with her on a level of humor and shared values--in particular, what initially drew us to her was knowing that part of her fee is donated to a local community organization (which the couple can choose out of a few pre-selected options)--but also it was clear after we had a long coffee with her that she would be a great help to help us in advocating for the type of wedding we really wanted (especially when so many opinions come into the mix during planning!). This advocacy happened during our email exchanges/Zoom meetings leading up to the day (we lived out of state and did most of our planning remotely), but especially on the wedding day, when she was able to ensure our values came to life throughout the ceremony and reception. She made sure we had time to breathe in between ceremony and reception (especially making sure we had time to eat and have some alone time as a couple, which was important to us!) and anticipated all of the little things before we even had a chance to think about them. We were a very lowkey couple when it came to wedding planning and cautious about overspending, so we initially thought we might not need help on the day, but I can't emphasize how much better and more relaxed our wedding day was with Sarah at the helm (well, she might say we were at the helm, with her cheering alongside--this is the experience she tries to create for all her couples, and she succeeds in every way!). We didn't have to worry about ANYTHING! If you are on the fence, just know Good Neighbor Events is worth every penny.
